Website Handover & Access Policy
When a website is moving to another provider, we are happy to assist with the handover process. To keep everything secure and ensure a smooth transition, we follow these steps:
- Client Authorisation
We requires written confirmation from the client specifying what access should be provided (e.g. DNS/domain access, website files, database, admin logins). We cannot provide access directly to a third party without the client’s clear instruction. - Scope of Access
We will only provide access to the assets that belong to the client (e.g. domain, site content, databases). Any third-party licensed software, custom code, or agency-owned intellectual property is not automatically transferable. - Security Measures
Access will be provided securely and limited to the areas requested. Once handover is complete, we recommend the client updates passwords and access credentials. - Charges
Handover assistance is chargeable support time at our standard hourly rate. Typical handover requests (providing files, setting up access, DNS updates) require around 1–2 hours. Larger requests may be estimated separately. - Liability
Once access has been provided, we are not responsible for changes or issues introduced by the new provider.
This notice may be updated from time to time to reflect new features on the website.
